MSD Australia and MSD New Zealand are incredibly excited to share that we have been awarded the certified status by Great Place to Work® for 2025 for a second consecutive year.

Great Place to Work® is a global authority on workplace culture which evaluates hundreds of certified organisations across Australia & New Zealand. The current recognition is another significant milestone for us, following receiving Best Workplaces for Women in Australia by Great Place to Work® earlier this year.

This year, 83% of employees at MSD Australia and 80% of employees at MSD New Zealand reported that MSD is a great place to work. Notably, our two highest-rated areas include Justice at 87%, and the question ‘People here are treated fairly regardless of their sexual orientation,’ which received an impressive 94% positive rating.

Lisa Onsley, Human Resources Director of MSD Australia and New Zealand says “Being awarded a Great Place to Work® certification for the second year in a row reflects our commitment to listening and embracing the feedback of our employees with an open mind. We are dedicated to making ongoing improvements that prioritise the needs of everyone in our organisation so that everyone can bring their whole selves to work. I am excited to keep enhancing our initiatives in this area where all employees can grow, foster connections, and thrive.”

MSD Australia and MSD New Zealand shine in several key areas, particularly through its commitment to promoting work-life balance, providing robust career growth opportunities, and cultivating a vibrant diversity, equity, and inclusion culture that enhances community engagement and professional development. These initiatives demonstrate our dedication to creating a more supportive and inspiring future for both our employees and the patients we serve.

Eric Flanagan, Animal Health General Manager of Australia and New Zealand, says “Our animal health employees are involved in various divisions that support our very diverse portfolio, including the commercial teams, as well as our manufacturing and printing sites. MSD is proud to have a diverse workforce that work extremely well together and collectively agree that MSD Australia and New Zealand is a great place to work. It’s a true honour to be a part of a company whose teams actively engage to seek improvement within the workplace so that our services and products are efficiently delivered to the customers in need.”

MSD looks forward to building on this achievement by continuing to cultivate a workplace culture that celebrates one another, fosters inclusion, and empowers every employee to unlock their full potential.
