Reconciliation
We have recently released our Reconciliation Statement, re-affirming our commitment to a prosperous and reconciled future for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians.
Since embarking on our reconciliation journey in 2017, we have made significant strides, culminating in the completion of our Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) in 2020.
In September 2026 we launched our Innovate RAP March 2026 – March 2028), which marks a new chapter in our commitment to meaningful change.
Our focus remains on promoting representation, cultural awareness, and health equity as we work towards a reconciled future for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians. Our Reconciliation Statement reaffirms our dedication to fostering a prosperous and inclusive society for all.
Our vision for reconciliation
Our vision for reconciliation is a future where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have equitable access to life‑saving medicines, vaccines, screening programs and preventive care. We are committed to addressing inequities in health outcomes by listening, learning and forming meaningful partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health organisations, professionals and communities.
We seek to understand the histories, truths and voices of First Nations peoples and support the culturally safe delivery of truth‑telling within our organisation. We are committed to creating a workplace where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples feel respected, valued and safe. We empower all employees to contribute to reconciliation within our workplace and sphere of influence, working together toward a prosperous and equitable future for First Nations peoples in our industry and beyond.

Courtney has beautifully described her inspiration and vision for this artwork. She shared, “This artwork explores the story of MSD through the teamwork and exploration of science that is involved in helping communities. This artwork pays tribute to connections and collaboration of the company on Aboriginal soil through the honeycomb shapes, similar to chemistry symbols. Using innovative knowledge and science has been ongoing since Australia’s Traditional Ancestors lived and walked on Country. This artwork shared the story of our Traditional knowledge holders and the important work that MSD does on Country.”
