MSD Australia has again been certified as a Family Friendly Workplace, reaffirming our company’s strong commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all employees.
MSD Australia’s was initially certified in 2022 by the National Work + Family Standards. The 2024 re-certification is a testament to MSD’s ongoing dedication to creating a workplace where all employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to balance both their professional and personal lives.
“We are incredibly proud of this re-certification,” said Chifumi Umeda, Managing Director of MSD Australia & New Zealand. “It highlights our focus on our people and the work we continue doing to create a workplace culture where diversity, inclusivity, and work-life balance are central. We believe these values help drive innovation and enable us to fulfill our mission of improving and saving lives.”
The Family Friendly Workplace certification is an important recognition that highlights an employer’s commitment to supporting the diverse needs of its workforce. It also reflects the company’s alignment with Australia’s broader social and policy goals related to gender equality, diversity, and employee well-being.
Lisa Onsley, Director of Human Resources, MSD Australia & New Zealand, says, “The Family Friendly Workplace certification further reinforces MSD Australia’s vision of being an employer that offers all employees the opportunity to grow, contribute, and succeed. By prioritising flexibility and inclusivity, MSD is working to build a brighter, more supportive future for its teams and the communities they serve.”
Locky McIntosh, Director of Operations, MSD Animal Health, Australia & New Zealand, says, “At the heart of our company, we know that many of our team members have families and supporting that balance between work and home life is vital. Being a certified Family Friendly Workplace helps us create a space where people can thrive both at work and at home. It’s not just about retaining our amazing talent; it’s also about attracting new people who want to be part of a team. This kind of support goes a long way in helping us all do our best work, especially when it comes to improving animal health.”
